What You Need to Bring When Selling Gold in Sri Lanka

A legitimate gold buyer keeps proper records. It protects you as much as it protects us, and it takes only a few minutes.
Bring valid photo identification
A National Identity Card, valid passport or driving licence is required. The name on the identification should match the person receiving payment.
You must own the items outright
We purchase gold and silver only from their rightful owner. We do not accept pledged or pawned items, and we do not provide loans, advances or pawning services of any kind.
Any buyer willing to skip identification checks is a buyer to avoid. Proper records are a sign of a licensed, compliant business.
A simple pre-visit checklist
- Photo ID
- All items you intend to sell, in one bag
- Any original bills or certificates you happen to have (helpful, not required)
- Today's published gold rate, checked before leaving home
What happens at the counter
Items are sorted, tested for purity, weighed on a calibrated scale, and a per gram offer is calculated in front of you. If you accept, payment is immediate and a receipt is issued.
